Thank you for shopping at IndiaMeters.in. We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. This page explains our returns, cancellations and refund practices for orders placed on IndiaMeters.in.
1. Overview
We offer a 7-day Return Policy from the date of delivery for products that arrive Damaged, Defective or Not as Described. Depending on the case, we will offer a Replacement or a Refund. All return/refund requests are subject to inspection and approval by our team.
2. Eligibility for Return
- Return requests must be initiated within 7 calendar days from the date of delivery.
- Items must be returned in the same condition in which you received them — unused, with original packaging, manuals, accessories, warranty cards and serial numbers intact.
- Products must pass our quality check after we receive them. Refunds or replacements are processed only after successful inspection.
- To initiate a return, email us at info@indiameters.in with your order number, photos/videos showing the damage/defect (if applicable), and a brief description of the issue.
3. When Returns Are Not Accepted
Returns will not be accepted in the following cases:
- Return request is made after the 7-day window.
- Product shows signs of physical damage due to misuse, improper installation, negligence or wear and tear.
- Consumable items (e.g., batteries, consumables) that have been used or installed.
- Products with tampered, removed, or missing serial numbers, warranty seals or anti-tamper labels.
- Items returned without original packaging, accessories, or documentation.
- Products marked as non-returnable or clearance/special-order items (unless received damaged/defective).
4. Non-Returnable / Special Handling Items
Certain instruments and items require special handling and calibration. These are non-returnable unless they are defective or damaged on arrival. Examples include (but are not limited to):
- Calibration-sensitive meters and test instruments
- Software-activated or licensed devices
- Special-order, custom or bulk products
5. Damaged or Defective Items — What To Do
- Within 7 days of delivery, email info@industrialindia.com with your order number, brief description, and clear photos/videos showing the damage or defect.
- We will arrange a reverse pickup via our courier partner wherever possible. If we cannot arrange pickup, you may return the item via a third-party courier and we will reimburse the reasonable return shipping cost after we receive the item and complete inspection.
- Once we receive and verify the defect/damage, we will either:
- Send a replacement (subject to stock availability), or
- Initiate a refund to the original payment method.
Important: Please retain the original packaging until the return process is complete. Damage caused during customer packing for return may affect your refund/replacement eligibility.
6. How To Initiate a Return
To start a return, email:
info@indiameters.in and include:
- Order number and date
- Product name and SKU / model no.
- Reason for return
- Clear photos or videos (for damaged/defective claims)
- Your preferred resolution (replacement or refund)
7. Return Pickup & Customer Responsibilities
- We will attempt to schedule a reverse pickup. Typically courier partners make up to 3 attempts.
- If the courier cannot collect the item and you choose to return via third-party courier, keep the tracking details and send them to us. We will reimburse standard return shipping cost only after inspection and approval.
- Customer must pack the product securely. IndiaMeters.in is not responsible for damage that occurs due to improper packing during transit back to us.
8. Cancellation Policy
- Orders can be cancelled before the product is dispatched. To cancel, email info@indiameters.in with your order number.
- An order cancellation charge of ₹250 will be levied (as per current practice). The remaining amount will be refunded.
- Once the item has been shipped, the order cannot be cancelled. You may initiate a return once you receive the product, subject to the return policy terms.
- We will confirm cancellation by email/SMS within 24–48 hours of receiving your request.
9. Refunds — Method & Timeline
- Refunds are issued after we receive and inspect the returned product and confirm eligibility.
- Refund will be made to the original payment method used at the time of purchase (credit/debit card, net-banking or UPI). For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, refunds will be processed via bank transfer — please provide bank details when requested.
- Once we process the refund, please allow your bank or payment provider 7–10 business days to reflect the credit in your account (timelines vary by bank).
- If a cancellation charge applies, the same will be deducted before refund processing.
10. Warranty vs. Return
Manufacturer warranty and our return policy are different:
- The 7-day return window covers items that are damaged, defective or not as described at delivery.
- Manufacturer warranty covers manufacturing defects that may arise after the return window. Warranty claims are handled as per the manufacturer's warranty terms — contact the manufacturer’s service center or us for help locating the correct service center.
- IndiaMeters.in facilitates warranty claim assistance, but decisions on warranty acceptance and repairs/replacements rest with the manufacturer unless explicitly stated otherwise.
11. Fraudulent or Abusive Returns
IndiaMeters.in reserves the right to refuse, limit or cancel returns and refunds in cases of suspected fraud, abuse or repeated misuse of the returns process.
12. Disputes & Escalation
If you are not satisfied with our response, please escalate by emailing info@indiameters.in. We aim to resolve all disputes fairly and promptly. If required, matters will be handled according to the governing law and jurisdiction mentioned in our Terms & Conditions.
